My top artists on Spotify
Connect your Spotify account to SpotifyStats to see your top artists, ranked, for the last 4 weeks, 6 months and 12 months. It works any day of the year. Inside the Spotify app you only get part of this: the full ranked list arrives once a year in Wrapped.
Free, nothing to install. By connecting, you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy.

How to see your top artists in the Spotify app
Spotify only shows part of this, and what you see varies by device and app version:
- Wrapped gives a ranked list of your top artists, but only once a year, late in the year, and only for that year.
- Your profile in the mobile app can show a short list of the artists you played most this month.
- Personalised playlists such as Daily Mix lean on the artists you play a lot, but they are mixes, not a ranked list with time ranges.
If you want to check your list in March or July, not December, the app does not give you a way to do it. That is the gap this page fills.
The 3 time ranges
Your top artists, ranked in the order Spotify reports them, for three time ranges you can switch between at any time:
Last 4 weeks
The artists you have on repeat right now.
Last 6 months
The artists that have stuck with you this season.
Last 12 months
Spotify's longest range, closest to a Wrapped-style year.
Spotify does not offer a true all-time range; 12 months is the longest it provides.
Why your top artists list changes
Your list is not fixed. Spotify rebuilds it from your recent listening each time an app asks for it. Three things move it:
- What you play. A new album on repeat can push an artist into the last 4 weeks list within days.
- The window. As old weeks drop out of the range, the artists you stopped playing slide down and then off the list.
- How Spotify counts. Spotify does not publish its exact method, so a rank is a good guide, not a play count.
The longer the range, the steadier the list. Check the 4 weeks view to see what you play now, and the 12 months view to see who you keep coming back to.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I see my top artists on Spotify?
- Connect your Spotify account to SpotifyStats and open Top Artists. You get your most played artists ranked for the last 4 weeks, the last 6 months and the last 12 months. In the Spotify app itself, the full ranked list only appears in Wrapped once a year.
- Why does my top artists list change?
- Spotify works out your top artists from what you play, and your listening changes. The last 4 weeks view moves fastest: a few days of heavy play can lift an artist into it. The 12-month view moves slowly because one busy week barely changes a full year.
- Can I see my all-time top artists on Spotify?
- Not exactly. Spotify does not share a true all-time ranking with apps like SpotifyStats. Its longest range covers roughly the last 12 months, which is the Last 12 months view here.
- Is this the same as the top artists chart?
- No. The top artists chart ranks artists by how many people listen to them worldwide. Your top artists list ranks the artists you play the most, so it is different for every listener.
